Accessibility

General

Bude-Stratton Town Council is committed to removing barriers for all, regardless of your disability. If you need any additional help which is not listed below, please contact info@budelitfest.co.uk and we will do everything we can to make your visit as easy and stress free as possible.

Wheelchair Access

All of Bude-Stratton Town Council venues and CafÃĐ Limelight at The Castle have wheelchair access, parking (blue badge holders only), and lifts where needed.  Please ask the stewards for the best place to sit if you need a hearing loop and are unsure if this is available in the room or venue space.

If you need to contact a venue that is holding an event outside of Bude-Startton Town Council buildings (The Castle, Bude LIbrary and The Parkhouse Centre), please use the links on the ‘Support Us’ page to enquire futher.

Neurodivergent Visitors

Please let us know if you’d like to avoid queuing, where possible we can reserve a seat to suit you in the venue as well as inform our stewards of your needs. You can email us to let us know in advance up to 3 hours before the event. Please email us if there is anything else we can do to ensure your visit with us is as comfortable as possible.

Toilets

The Castle and The Parkhouse Centre have disabled toilets. To find out if other venues for events have disabled access to toilets, or the nearest access for this, please ask our Festival or Council Office staff when buying your tickets in person and or check online with Visit Bude for the latest information. You can also contact the community venues on our support us, if you have any further questions regarding wheelchair access.

Deaf or hard of hearing

Some of our venues are fitted with an induction loop system. Please ask the stewards for the best place to sit if you need a hearing loop and are unsure if this is available in the room or venue space.

Carers and Chaperones

If you need a carer or chaperone to make it possible for you to attend one of our events, please email us on so that we can arrange free access.

Parking

Disabled parking is available throughout Bude and close to most venues. All Bude-Stratton Town Council venues have disabled parking outside the main entrances, which must be displayed with a blue badge holder pass. To find out where other suitable parking spaces are around the town, please visit Bude Tourist Information Centre.

We can send you the programme in Microsoft word format, which can be enlarged, and is more easily read by text to speech software. We are also happy to make bookings on your behalf if you visit in person. If booking online and you run into a problem, please call 01288 357302 or email our festival staff to get further help.
