From War Veteran to Published Author, with Jo Silva

19 May @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

£4

Jo Silva is the author of the comedy crime series, ‘The Edge of the World Detective Agency’, which is new this year.

The first in the series, ‘The Wrecker’s Curse’, follows the antics of Donna Nightshade as she endeavours to solve her first case – a murder on stage at the Minack Theatre; a murder for which Donna is the number one suspect. Jo has been a published author with HarperCollins for several years, previously writing contemporary and historical fiction under the name Melanie Hudson.

She started to write fiction in 2010, when she walked away from a varied and sometimes turbulent career in the armed forces. She is an international bestselling author and her debut novel, The Wedding Cake Tree, won Contemporary Romantic Novel of the Year Award 2016.

Jo will be in conversation with former local councillor and ex-Royal Navy officer, Tony Gibbs, discussing her unusual, hysterical and sometimes trying career change journey from military officer to award winning author. Jo lives near Penzance with her family.
