This talk will cover the research process, including census records, archives, newspapers, websites, parish registers, birth & death certs etc. It will also look at creating characters based on dates and names – how do you bring them to life?

Alison will give examples from all her historical fiction novels, including her most recent ‘A Ha’Penny Will Do’, and explain her reasoning behind her decisions.
