Our headliners this year include stand-up comedian, author and broadcaster, Jenny Éclair, and BAFTA-nominated, award-winning writer and broadcaster, Lemn Sissay.  The Comedy Store London are adding our town to their UK Tour, the first for them in Cornwall!

We see the return of some celebrated authors and artists: David Burnell, Len Tozer, Trevor Lashbrook, Liz Shakespeare, Catherine Beale, Martin Dorey, |Dave Sargent,  Richard Westlake, Paul Wreyford, Alex Gibbon and SproutSpoken, plus so much more, with their latest releases as well as some of our beloved locals recalling tales of old and sharing their celebrated acts with the community. There will be further walks and talks across the town and fascinating workshops such as becoming an author, calligraphy, journaling, painting, divination, illustration, drawing, lyric writing and more.

There is a full programme for families and kids, including a host of author readings and workshops.

This year there’s a programme of events for young adults that include ‘Manga Comic artist: Keith Sparrow, sharing his skills and secrets and Gaming with Nick Dixon, a veteran in his profession!

We have a host of authors visiting Bude to talk about their latest books, including genres from Gothic Romance to Crime. There’s something that will delight us all.

Local musicians are once again with us to share their creative expertise. Gary McCausland, Ezmay Grace, Mike Bosworth, The Barrel Tapper, Lily Harding and Nigel Gardiner and will be providing entertainment throughout.

On the last day of Lit Fest we will be organising a Sunday Funday! A day of celebrating the visiting artists and our fantastic town. This event will be held on The Castle Lawn and is free for all.
